CareTracker is an excellent EHR product. I recently came across an interview that EHRtv conducted with Kim LaFontanna,Vice President of Ingenix. She discusses the CareTracker solution and how the product was developed based on industry research. The interview can be found here: http://www.ehrtv.com/ingenix-kim-lafontana-mar-2010/

I have just read with interest your article concerning fluctuating blood pressure. I have recently gone onto blood pressure medication (I am age 50) as I along with several members of my family all seem to suffer from raised blood pressure. Mine was never continually high & in fact most of the time was within the "normal" range. However in view of my family history my GP took a great deal of time investigating various factors & suggested I took a low dose of medication. I am now glad she did as the above article does suggest that fluctuating blood pressure puts people at greater risk. My mother died from a cebral haemorrhage at age 69. Because her BP was so erratic she did not get put on medication until she was in her early 60's, possibly far too late.
I hasten to add that raised BP levels are not always caused by life styles. I like my Mother weigh 8 stone 3, I swim 60 lengths a week & usually bike at least 3 miles a week. I also eat healthily & stay well within the RDA for alcohol consumption and I have never smoked (exactly like my Mother) Genetics obviously play a large part in determining who/why people develop hypertension.

I am thrilled to learn of your camp program; CONGRATULATIONS! I have been involved with diabetes camps 48+ years via the Joslin Diabetes Center/Harvard Medical School Affil. Camp Joslin program and the International Diabetes Education and Camping Association. I have seen professionally and personally how a well run diabetes camp experience educates and supports young people living with diabetes and their families to live healthier, fuller lives. I applaud your life enhancing efforts! Paul B. Madden, M.Ed.

This is an excellent article. As a T10 paraplegic, I'm especially appreciative of such well written articles because I believe that they contribute to the science that will eventually repair my injury. Educating the public is so important to the future of stem cell research.
Thank you.
